Hello and welcome to the AzNA Nurse Educator Special Interest Group (Chapter 6) site!

The purpose of the Nurse Educator Special Interest Group is to support those with an interest in nursing education in Arizona through continuing education and collaboration.  As a special interest group within AzNA, we serve nurses in Arizona with a passion for education.  This includes clinical education, academia, and beyond in a variety of settings including hospitals, classrooms, and the community.

This site was created to provide our members with a place to easily see what the group has been doing, and what we are planning for the future.  In fact, it is a great way for you to get more involved yourself. You will find minutes from the Board meetings, a calendar of events we are planning, and contact information for you to stay connected.  And if you see something that sparks your interest, let us know as we always welcome your input and involvement.

This group provides a place with those of us involved in (or hoping to become involved in) education looking to network, promote education, and share ideas within our community. So browse our site, come back often, and grow roots within this community of kindred spirits.

Please join AzNA’s Nurse Educator Special Interest Group for the next Nursing Education Collaborative seminar: Teaching your Students to ‘Think Like a Nurse’. Presented by Keith Rischer, RN, MA, CEN, CCRN, of KeithRN, this is a great opportunity for staff nurses, clinical instructors, and nurse educators to learn ways to help our future nursing workforce to be ready to enter nursing practice after graduation. You won’t want to miss out on this great opportunity.

Hello to all my nurse educator friends,
I'm working with a couple colleagues to collect data on national pre-licensure testing practices among nurse educators. The survey will only take about 5 minutes to complete and your input is highly valued. This is an IRB approved study and the outcomes will be shared and published.

I would also appreciate it if you could share this with your colleagues. The survey will close the end of September.

Thank you for your time and willingness to share,
